Themis had launched inosine pranobex under brand name Viralex in June this year. Despite the drug not figuring in the government’s Covid treatment protocol – the company is banking on the drug to improve overall revenues as it was approved by the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) for more indications such as influenza and other viral respiratory diseases (ARDS), mucocutaneous herpes, genital wart and panencephalitis.
