Hyundai Motor Group to Pilot Autonomous Vehicles for Medication Delivery

Hyundai Motor Group (the Group), the global scale mobility provider including Hyundai Motor Company and Kia Corporation has partnered with tech-powered pharmacy NowRx on a pilot project to explore autonomous vehicles for medication delivery

– The pilot project will test and develop automated dispatch, fleet management, and other last-mile optimization technologies for same-day prescription delivery, with the possibility of testing autonomous vehicle technologies in the future.

Autonomous Vehicles for Medication Delivery

The pilot project will serve two micro-fulfillment centers in the Los Angeles area that will include aspects of automated dispatch, fleet management, and other last-mile optimization technologies, with the extended scope to test autonomous vehicle technologies in the future. Supported by the Innovation Division of the Group, NowRx plans to combine its proprietary pharmacy management system “QuickFill” capabilities and the Group’s smart mobility solutions. The synergies are expected to provide a seamless healthcare experience to end consumers.
