Description

New technologies can help facilitate the reporting, monitoring and prevention of work-related illnesses, a phenomenon that costs over €7.6 million in Norway each year. The Norwegian Register for work-related illness (RAS) is an example of this type of technological solution in action, enabling doctors to submit reports of work-related illnesses directly to the Norwegian Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

To promote its use, discuss potential improvements, and examine the opportunities RAS offers for the prevention of occupational diseases at national level, the Norwegian Labour Inspection Authority will gather national authorities and medical professionals, as well as trade unions and employers’ organisations, in a seminar taking place on 14 September in Oslo.
