The Federal Trade Commission is asking the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals to issue an immediate order to block Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Novant Health from acquiring two North Carolina hospitals from Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems until the court can rule on its appeal.
