Shots:
- Hologic to acquire Bolder Surgical for ~$160M which is a provider of advanced energy vessel sealing surgical devices. The acquisition is expected to be closed by 2021
- The transaction will add laparoscopic vessel sealing, dividing and dissecting devices to the Hologic portfolio and enable it to expand the use of Bolder’s devices to OB/GYN specialists
- The complementary acquisition of Bolder Surgical will add to Hologic’s surgical product line, which includes the NovaSure, the the MyoSure tissue removal devices, the Acessa laparoscopic radiofrequency ablation system and the Fluent fluid management system
