Introducing occupational safety and health (OSH) issues to young people helps prepare them for working life and can ensure that the message of safe and healthy workplaces is ingrained at an early age.

On 29 October, the Greek focal point hosts an online seminar to introduce students and teachers from the Chemical Engineering Department of the Aristoteleio University of Thessaloniki to the significance of Health & Safety at Work, to the basic OSH principles and national OSH legislation.

Speakers also demonstrate how to use Online interactive Risk Assessment (OiRA) tools to conduct a Risk Assessment study, using the OiRA tools developed in Greece on chemical hazards and risks. Emphasis is also given to the successful efforts of students at the Analytical Chemistry Laboratory of the University of Thessaloniki in developing new OiRA tools.

During the seminar, participants are also introduced to Napo and get the opportunity to navigate his official website and learn about his message of safe and healthy workplaces. Napo episodes on OiRA and key OSH topics are also shown.
