Verizon Inks $2.5B, 12-Year Contract with HHS to Modernize Its Network

– Today, Verizon announced it was awarded a 12-year contract worth $2.5 billion to help the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) modernize its network

– Verizon is driving $700 million in cost savings for HHS through the Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions (EIS) contract. This contract covers all 10 of the agency’s operating components and its Office of Secretary.

– The EIS contract vehicle accelerates HHS’s transition to advanced networking technologies by combining both voice and data technologies into one EIS task order.
