A new code of practice has been drawn up in the UK to try to make sure that research on human embryo models derived from stem cells is carried out ethically and responsibly.Stem cell-based embryo models, or SCBEMs, are three-dimensional biological structures that can mimic some aspects of early human embryo development and have been used by scientists over many years for a range of research purposes.
