Everly Health Expands Diabetes and Kidney Health Testing Suite for Health Plans and Employers

Everly Health is expanding its diabetes monitoring and kidney health testing suite for health plans and employers through its division, Everly Health Solutions. The suite provides comprehensive testing for conditions affecting kidney health, such as diabetes, high cholesterol, and high blood pressure. It includes tests like the Heart and Kidney Health Test, Diabetes Monitoring Test, Kidney Health Test, and Heart Health Test, as part of preventive care screening.

This expanded suite helps address Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) measures and increase CMS Star Ratings for health plans. It measures various biomarkers through blood and urine sample collections, including HbA1c for blood sugar levels, cholesterol panel, eGFR, and UACR.

Everly Health Solutions, in collaboration with a national health plan, launched a kidney health pilot program for over 10,000 members. The pilot demonstrated effectiveness in detecting kidney health abnormalities and potentially preventing renal disease progression, leading to improved health outcomes and cost savings for the health plan.

“We are excited to partner with Everly Health to expand education on chronic kidney disease and two of its major risk factors, diabetes and hypertension,” said Joseph Vassalotti, MD, Chief Medical Officer at the National Kidney Foundation. “These two risk factors alone account for or contribute to over two-thirds of cases, and our collaboration emphasizes the importance of early screening and awareness, a vital step in proactive health management.”
