If the discussions conclude successfully, Pfizer would first import jabs to India and also explore the possibility of setting up manufacturing facilities in the country. The company did not respond to ET’s emailed queries. It is learnt that while Moderna is also eyeing the Indian market, it will be in a position to supply jabs only by the year end or early next year.
