Description

The Third European Survey of Enterprises on New and Emerging Risks (ESENER) asked those who know best about health and safety in the establishments about how health and safety risks are managed at their workplace.

In this context, the Umbrella Organization of Social Security Institutions of Austria is organising “Austrian health data in the context of gainful employment.” Taking place in Vienna, the event aims to build a data-generating, collecting, and analysing network to help prevent accidents and health risks at work. The event focuses on three topics: The key results of the European Business Survey on New and Emerging Risks (ESENER) 2019, the current data situation in Austria, and a brainstorming exercise on how this situation could be improved. Finally, the development of ideas for further exchange and necessary next steps will be considered.

The event aims at employees from data-generating, collecting, and analyzing institutions focusing on work and health, researchers, scientists, and employees of the Austrian Labour Inspection and the Chamber of Labour.

Speakers:

  • Elke Schneider, European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU- OSHA)
  • Marie Jelenko, Social Insurance for Occupational Risks (AUVA)
