Introduction
7 years old Elizabeth Agyemang, from Ghana, was suffering from a brain tumor. The medical symptoms included pain and discomfort, occasional seizures, and vomiting. Pre-treatment and Process
The visa invite from the chosen hospital was facilitated by a MediGence patient manager. The visa was applied for and received in a short time. The patient’s father chose the hotel recommended by MediGence according to his budget. Elizabeth and her father arrived in India on 22 November 2021. They were received at the airport by the MediGence Team and all accommodation arrangements were done by the team. The assigned case manager ensured that the patient was provided with the best facilities at the hotel. MediGence took the patient to the hospital for consultation with Dr. Aditya Gupta. The appointment with the doctor was pre-booked. On the first day of their arrival, Elizabeth with her father met the specialist and the medical team.
All of the necessary tests were performed on the patient. This allowed the doctors to have a better understanding of the situation and, as a result, devise the appropriate treatment strategy. The doctor attentively examined the test results and determined that the procedure could proceed. Elizabeth was admitted in the hospital for four days and stayed for two weeks in the country (advised by doctor). Elizabeth had a pleasant treatment experience thanks to the great care provided by the hospital staff, regular monitoring, and improved care.
Post-treatment
Elizabeth’s father was given a variety of lodging options from which to choose based on his budget. MediGence made sure the patient got the finest treatment possible by organizing everything from hospital transfers to airport pick-ups to doctor appointments.
