EU-OSHA throws spotlight on chronic MSDs to mark World Arthritis Day

To mark the 2021 edition of the World Arthritis Day (WAD), observed every year on 12 October, EU-OSHA is highlighting the risks and impact of rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases (RMDs) in the workplace. Inflammatory arthritis is a common RMD condition.

Campaigning alongside the European Alliance of Associations for Rheumatology (EULAR), one of EU-OSHA’s campaign partners, EU-OSHA raises awareness about its priority area on chronic conditions and the Healthy Workplaces campaign Lighten the Load. This is an opportunity to show how workers with chronic musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) can continue to work with the right support and adjustments.

EULAR celebrates WAD 2021 focussing on its Don’t Delay, Connect Today: Time2Work campaign. It also releases five dedicated podcasts around the topic, featuring relevant content to celebrate the awareness day.
