H2-Blocker Famotidin (Propylenglycol.) and gastrointestinal symptoms
My doctor gave me a bunch of new medication today. Including Famotidin. I‘ve just done some research and read it decreases stomach acid production, which is the contrary of what I want. I am actually supplementing with Betaine HCL, which helped me a lot. I have high gastrointestinal calprotectin levels and struggle with gastroparesis and indigestion. I guess it’s not a good idea to take it, right? And as far as I know it does not do anything other than block stomach acid production, right?
