FDA clears Johnson & Johnson’s single-dose Janssen COVID-19 vaccine

The approval came after FDA’s Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee—a 22-member panel that regularly advises FDA about experimental vaccines—reviewed the data in an all-day meeting on February 26th.
Based on results from over 43,000 participants, Janssen’s vaccine was 85% effective at preventing severe disease from COVID-19.
