With more than one million clients in Belgium (1 quarter of households) the Service Voucher sector (also named personal and household services sector at the EU level), has become essential since its creation in 2004. However, workers have recently faced more and more occupational safety and health (OSH) issues.

A new discussion paper provides an overview of these OSH challenges and includes recommendations to improve workers’ wellbeing, including training and good practices.

The findings could be of interest to other Member States where such information is not available. They will also contribute to support the European social partners in their objective of addressing OSH in the sector.
