International Pride Day and how to manage occupational safety and health for LGBTI workers

Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex (LGBTI) workers in the EU continue facing more psychosocial and organisational risks in the workplace than other groups of workers. LGBTI individuals have acquired more visibility in a number of EU countries in recent times, but is there enough research and significant data on safety and health at work for LGBTI workers?

This OSHwiki article explains how to bridge the research gap on occupational safety and health and the working conditions of LGBTI people. The article presents the legal and policy framework in the EU and brings together the main findings from EU-OSHA’s report on preventing musculoskeletal disorders in a diverse workforce and the EU LGBTI surveys conducted by the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights.
