Incorporating occupational safety and health in new corporate trends, like cybersecurity and e-recruitment, show its benefits for businesses and workers.

Global cybersecurity costs will hit $10.5 USD trillion by 2025. Although important data being stolen is the most obvious concern, cyberattacks may also endanger employees. Risks include hacks that maliciously take control of production processes or target industrial robots and autonomous vehicles. Companies assessing their exposure to cyber threats thus need to consider equally new emerging risks for workers’ health and safety.

Meanwhile, digitalisation is changing the future of the recruitment sector, how we find jobs and expectations towards employees and employers. Most recently, protecting workers from COVID-19 highlighted the importance of occupational safety and health policies in attracting new personnel.
