Description
The National Irish Safety Organisation (NISO) is hosting its 58th Annual Health and Safety Conference on 11 November 2022 in Galway, together with our 31st Annual Safety Awards presentation event in association with the Northern Ireland Safety Group. This year our Annual Health and Safety Conference, normally attended by 250 persons (mainly health and safety managers) and the Awards dinner attended by 630 persons in 2019 will be held in Galway.
The organisation, founded in 1963, is a voluntary not for profit organisation which has over 1,000 corporate members and is a member of EU-OSHA’s Focal Point in Ireland. The main focus is to promote health and safety at work. Working in close harmony with, the Northern Ireland Safety Group, the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Health and Safety Authority and Health and Safety Executive Northern Ireland. NISO provides a range of services to members which include: information, advice, support, high quality training, regular newsletters, safety products, national quiz, national safety awards scheme, regional seminars and an annual conference.
