Human health and social work activities are key for ensuring the health and wellbeing of citizens in Europe. However, workers in this sector are exposed to varied occupational safety and health (OSH) risks, of which COVID-19 and ergonomic, psychosocial factors and digitalisation rank high.

On 4th May, OSH experts from EU-OSHA, European Commission representatives and EU social partners gather online to discuss the findings of the in-depth ESENER study, which combines data from three waves of ESENER surveys with expert interviews and stakeholders from the sector.

How is safety and health managed in the sector? Which are the drivers and barriers? Is worker participation a key factor for efficient OSH management? These and other questions get answers at the workshop.

A forthcoming OSH overview on the healthcare sector to be carried out by EU-OSHA is also introduced on the day.
