Camp Hill, PA-based Rite Aid is increasing the number of no-charge COVID-19 test sites it operates. Starting on February 5, the company is opening 317 more drive-through testing sites in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania as part of its agreement with HHS. Rite Aid’s new COVID-19 testing locations bring the total number of sites it operates to 777 in 16 states. All of the company’s sites offer PCR self-swab nasal tests under the supervision of Rite Aid pharmacists. The sites provide tests for individuals aged 4 years old and older, irrespective of whether they have coronavirus symptoms, in accordance with CDC guidance. Rite Aid relies on Verily’s Baseline COVID-19 Testing Program to offer screening, scheduling, and return of results, while BioReference Labs provides lab testing and PWNHealth offers clinical oversight.
