Description

Ensuring the safety of medical personnel exposed to hazardous substances requires expertise from both medical and occupational safety and health (OSH) fields. This will be the focus of a webinar organised by the Romanian Focal Point on 23 June, bringing together an array of stakeholders to ensure a joined-up national approach.

The latest developments on the ‘Roadmap on Carcinogens’ EU initiative will be presented, along with the opportunities available to join the project in Romania.

Attention will then turn to an analysis of existing hazards and risks for staff dealing with these kinds of substances, such as those working in oncologic hospitals. Effective protective solutions will be explored, as well as the possibility to adapt OSH legislation and implement effective long-term monitoring for this category of workers.
