Targan has completed $35M Series C equity financing for the commercialization of its automated & individualized poultry vaccination & gender identification system. The funding was co-led by Merck Animal Health & Oval Park Capital
The system developed by the company for the commercial poultry industry includes high-speed imaging, feature recognition, artificial intelligence, robotics & microfluidics. Targan has also developed a fully automated system to determine the gender of the chicks
This system can accurately vaccinate up to 100,000 chicks/hr against diseases incl. coccidiosis, infectious bronchitis & Newcastle disease
