By Donald Zuhn — USPTO Terminates Rospatent as ISA and IPEA for International Applications In a News Brief issued last week, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office announced that it had notified the Russian Federal Service for Intellectual Property, ​Patents and Trademarks (Rospatent) of the USPTO’s intent to terminate ​its agreement concerning Rospatent functioning as an International Searching Authority (ISA) and International Preliminary Examining Authority (IPEA) for international applications received by the USPTO as a Receiving Office under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT).
