Description

Artificial intelligence and collaborative robotics are an important part of the enabling technologies of industry 4.0 that can help relieve humans of heavy operations with a high biomechanical risk, such as the transfer and handling of heavy loads and the execution of repetitive and tiring tasks.

On 12 November, the Italian focal point is holding an online seminar to discuss the use of technologies to improve workplace safety and help in the prevention of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). Speakers also discuss how the Healthy Workplaces Lighten the Load campaign offers the opportunity to explore the topic more in depth and highlight how smart factories can contribute to reducing the risks of occupational diseases and accidents at work.

The event takes place online with representatives of EU-OSHA, the national focal point the Enterprise Europe Network, the Confindustria Toscana along with workers, experts and employers.

Speakers:

  • Paola Piccarolo, EUOSHA
  • Francesca Grosso, INAIL
  • Paolo Dario, Scientific and Executive Director of the ARTES 4.0 Competence Center
  • Silvia Ramondetta, Economic Area Manager of Confindustria Toscana
