PerfectServe Acquires AnesthesiaGo to Enhance OR Case Scheduling

What You Should Know:

PerfectServe, a clinical communication and provider scheduling provider, today announced the acquisition of AnesthesiaGo, creator of the only solution on the market that automatically matches available anesthesia staff with the best daily case schedule.

Los Angeles-based AnesthesiaGo went live in 2021 after extensive research and product testing. Creating daily anesthesia case assignments is almost always a complex, stressful, and time-consuming affair, and the duty typically falls to a senior anesthesiologist every night. Anesthesiologist and company founder Dr. Michael Bronson was fed up with the challenges and frustrations involved with making the daily case schedule in his own practice, so he developed AnesthesiaGo’s technology with the goal of creating a safer, more efficient way to schedule anesthesia staff.

Acquisition Benefits for PerfectServe

AnesthesiaGo is the only solution on the market that auto-generates daily OR case scheduling for the anesthesia team using a rules-based algorithm. Through deep integration with PerfectServe’s Provider Scheduling powered by Lightning Bolt and EHRs, AnesthesiaGo promotes efficiency and transparency for all surgical staff, improves OR resource utilization, and helps prevent cases being delayed or canceled because of errors associated with manual scheduling processes. With provider wellness in mind, AnesthesiaGo also supports a teaming (or best match) mechanism pairing surgeons and anesthesiologists who work well together.

The solution offers additional value for health systems and anesthesia practices with built-in analytics about providers, residents, as well as case delays and cancellations. These analytics can be used to increase revenue potential, track resident cases needed or completed for graduation, and improve overall operational performance.

Recent Acquisitions Financial terms of the sale are not being disclosed between the two private companies. The acquisition comes off the heels of PerfectServe’s recent round of acquisitions in early 2019, when it separately acquired Telmediq (clinical communication), Lightning Bolt (provider scheduling), and CareWire (patient engagement).
