Prescription no longer needed for some insulin in Indiana

Patients in Indiana can now purchase some types of insulin without a prescription. Effective January 1, a new state law allows Indiana pharmacists to dispense human insulin to patients without a prescription. Analog insulin will still require a prescription, however. Indiana has been the only state to require a prescription for all insulin products since 2014.
