Europe’s migrant workers face higher exposure to both COVID-19 and MSDs

COVID-19 presents a new and disproportionate risk for migrant workers — already one of the most vulnerable groups in Europe’s workforce.

A new EU-OSHA’s discussion paper finds that migrant workers are more likely to be employed in jobs that involve contact with other people and cannot be performed from home. Such roles are also associated with a higher incidence of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs).
